As the NBA heads into the pressure of the playoffs, ESPN and Arts & Letters Creative Co. have released their fourth trailer for the 2021-22 NBA season.

Directed by Loren Christiansan and produced by Psyop, the :60 spot, For the Takers, along with :30, :15, :10, and :05 cutdowns will air across ESPN networks and platforms. 

“With For the Takers, we wanted to make the playoffs feel like an epic, unmissable battle,” said NJ Placentra, creative director at Arts & Letters Creative Co. “So we took still images of NBA players and treated them like heroic renaissance paintings. Then, working with Psyop, we brought those moments to life with subtle, cinemagraphic motion.”

For the Takers represents the culmination of our NBA on ESPN marketing story arc for the 2021-22 season. At its core, this creative is a call to action for players, coaches, teams, and most importantly fans, to join in the hunt for staking you claim to glory,” said Lucas Ferraro, Marketing Director, ESPN. 

“Ultimately, the goal of this campaign is to break through the clutter and captivate fans through its incredibly dynamic and arresting visuals, juxtaposed with intense, classical music.”
