In collaboration with Object & Animal and director Wukda, Norwegian artist Arif unveils this cinematic and deeply personal film that blurs the boundaries between music video, live performance and visual poem.

The film traces Arif’s journey between Zanzibar and Oslo, exploring questions of roots and personal identity. Guided by the recurring motif of a spiralling seashell - a symbol of past, present and future - he moves through memory, belonging and culture in a poetic search for self that stretches across time and place.

Gorgeous visuals complement Arif’s reflective lyrics, transporting viewers between real-life scenes, dreamlike liminal spaces, childhood memories and sweeping natural landscapes. With creative direction from Andrew Thomas Huang, the result is a richly textured piece that leans into atmosphere, symbolism and performance to tell a story that feels transportive and deeply introspective.
