Let's be honest, 2020 is not a year many people are going to look back on with fondness. 

There's been little to celebrate in general, and the advertising industry's usual propensity to - rightly - celebrate its achievements at a series of award shows in nice venues has been, like most other fun things this year, nixed. 

Despite the cancellation of this year's APA Show and shots Awards Europe, where the best work is highlighted and showcased, we thought it still necessary to celebrate some of the most creative campaigns from the last 12 months. The industry has been hit by the pandemic, but the quality of the commercials produced is still something worth shouting about.

So, the APA and shots has collaborated to create a new, only-for-2020 (we fervently, hope!) show to rival any on your preferred streaming platform, which you can enter for free. We're looking for the 20 best commercials of 120-seconds or less that are, in whole or in part, created by a UK company that is a member of the APA. 

The work needs to have been first aired/shown in any media between July 1 2019 and August 31 2020 and the deadline for entry to the Top 20 of 2020 is September 30

The work will be judged by the APA Council and the shots editorial team, and the winning work will be showcase on the APA and shots sites and distributed globally via a specially created Slate.

To clarify, we're looking for commercial work only that is 120-seconds or less which must have the involvement of at least one UK company that is a current APA member.
