Animated Storyboards (ASB) will be moving its New York office into a new 12,500 square foot facility in midtown Manhattan in March. As part of a company-wide initiative to create a more comfortable, client-friendly, and ultimately collaborative production process, the new flagship office will be nearly triple the size of its former facility.
ASB specializes in pre-viz, 2D and 3D animatics, photomatics and HD Test productions, as well as audio design. Established in New York in 2001, ASB has quickly grown into a global company, with offices on four continents. "At every stage, our expansion has been about keeping things local and client-centric," says CEO Ezra Krauz. "As we began to attract work throughout the world, we have made it a priority to always set up offices nearby to foster close working relationships." They have recently added offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Sao Paulo.
The new two-floor penthouse Manhattan facility, located at 1001 Avenue of the Americas, will house five edit rooms, two audio suites, a motion capture studio, and a 2,500 square foot wraparound deck. "It's a comfortable space to work in for visiting clients, as well as our over fifty in-house artists," says Executive Producer Dan Pack. "We have found that by encouraging close client involvement in the animatic stage, it's really elevated the level of the product, as well as creating a very smooth and satisfying process for everyone involved. Our already exceptional ability to produce high quality work on tight deadlines-often three to ten business days-is even further sharpened."
