Starting relationships whilst in lockdown isn't the easiest of tasks, but the dual protagonists of Amir Farhang's lockdown-shot short Masks not only manage to achieve a connection with each other, but also provide a compelling commentary throughout the film's six-minute runtime.
Visually representing a LA-based stroll, with neither character actually seen on screen, Farhang marries the montage of images with the dialogue (including a terrific opera interlude) to neat effect.
Sharply scripted and performed, with eerie photography that are now indicative of the time, this charming journey is simply wander-ful.
