Communicating through the medium of hair, dentsuMB are using the power of the mullet, the universally acknowledged symbol of ‘business at the front, party at the back,' to promote the American Express Business Card.
Directed by Gary Freedman through MJZ, the spot features a nondescript dentist who uses his American Express card for business purchases such as advertising, and a Good Gumkeeping magazine subscription, all the while earning points which he used to go on a luxury family holiday.
The visuals paired with a humorously timed voiceover, curates the haircut as the star of the show. The dentist and his trim are the pinnacle embodiment of The Card is for Business, the Points are for Pleasure.
