Aeromexico marks 90 years of history in this new campaign which looks to reinforce its purpose of promoting extraordinary experiences with a new visual identity.
Created by Wieden+Kennedy Mexico the near-three minute spot celebrates the brand's connection to Mexican culture and its commitment to exporting it to the world. Referencing music and other regional symbols, the spot reveals the ability of Mexicans to recognise and connect with each other anywhere in the world.
The new visual identity and the accompanying campaign are the result of the company’s own renewal and modernisation process, says Jessica Apellániz, Chief Creative Officer of W+K Mexico. "Our purpose, to elevate travel into an extraordinary experience, is the narrative thread of our main message," she explains. "[It's] the recognition that, as Mexicans, as a country, and as an airline, we believe in the extraordinary. The communication is an acknowledgment of the size and growth of this brand and its desire to continue elevating and exporting our culture. This is the narrative that inspired the renewal of the brand’s image and voice."
"This project is the result of close collaboration between Aeromexico and Wieden+Kennedy Mexico," added Pablo de Arteaga, President of W+K Mexico. "Since 2023, we have worked hand-in-hand to bring to life the main communication projects of one of the country’s most iconic brands. Aeromexico has allowed us to use all our agency's capabilities, from our design department, with the development of their new logo and all its applications, to creating campaigns that deeply connect with Mexican culture."
