English cider brand Thatchers has launched his charming and beautifully-crafted campaign, created by agency Bray Leino and directed by Will Studd through award-winning studio Aardman Animations.

Through marvellous stop-motion animation, Studd takes us to the heart of the Somerset countryside for a guided tour of Myrtle Farm, the home of Thatchers cider.

Pint-Sized Perfection introduces us to an array of endearing characters, including fourth generation cider maker Martin Thatcher, who makes a big entrance for the weekly 12.30 tasting, as well as Myrtle, the beloved family dog, whose fur needed grooming with a toothbrush between each shot.

The captivating 40 seconds of footage took three animators four weeks to shoot, and is peppered with playful touches such as the ‘apple spa’ and its ‘Leaf Guard’, and a special appearance from the Thatchers hot air balloon from previous ads.

Studd, director at Aardman said: “It’s always a pleasure to work with the team at Bray Leino and I am thrilled to direct their new advert for Thatchers, a cider brand that shares our passion for craft and attention to detail. As a paid-up cider enthusiast, I drank in the opportunity to bring the Thatchers family, farm, dog, and selected staff members to life with detailed puppets and sets.”
