At first glance, you might be forgiven for thinking that the festive spot for German grocery store Edeka was nothing more than the charming tale of a drop of water's wish fulfilment, but that's before seeing the twist in the tale.
Taking a charming cliche and turning it on its head is production company ANORAK, which, with animation from The Mill and a crafty concept from Jung von Matt, manages to delight, disturb and make a mark all in the space of a few seconds.
The true success of Drip, however, is how perfectly presented both of its halves are; the early story being so intricately constructed that the subsequent flip, and the message it conveys, is instantly impactful.
