A hyper-real and mystical fashion film shot in Hong Kong, Recognition is written and directed by Australian film and animation director Helen Clemens.
Commissioned by Creative Victoria, the film is the first fashion film to showcase Australia’s First People designers and actors.
“The main concept for this film was to change culture for the future,” Clemens says. “It feels like the past, present and future are brought together with the cutting-edge First Peoples fashion designs. The intension to create an ultra-modern fashion film which celebrates contemporary fashion. Also, the story is about the exchange of two cultures through the eyes of our First Peoples actors who are brought to the foreground amongst the fast-paced city of Hong Kong.”
