Global innovation company UNIT9 has appointed Rosh Singh as its new MD.
Hailing from WPP’s Kinectic, where he was head of Kinetic Active and KineticX, Singh’s primary role is ensuring UNIT9 capitalises on emerging technologies to continually evolve its offering, whilst also growing the business and coalescing its diverse pool of strategy, creative, technologist and production talent.
During his tenure as head of Kinetic Active, Singh was the driving force behind evolving OOH into experiential, Dynamic Digital OOH, murals and tech-led executions for brands including Nike, Warner Brothers, Three Mobile, Coca-Cola and Unilever.
Singh’s leadership saw Kinetic Active spearhead the most award-winning streak of its history, with a Cannes Lion win for Lynx and CALM, in addition to 50+ other industry awards. During this period, Singh also used his entrepreneurial flair to launch KineticX: a start-up incubator focused on the technologies most likely to shape the future of OOH. As part of this remit, Singh oversaw the launch of OOH tech solutions like Lightvert and Voyager VR.
"UNIT9 fosters an entrepreneurial culture, with absolute love of innovation and craft," says UNIT9’s chairman and co-founder, Piero Frescobaldi. "As an entrepreneur who has spent a large part of his career as an evangelist for new technology and its impact on advertising and brand experience, Rosh is a great fit for our team. He not only shares our passion for the work, but he also brings with him experience of larger, service-driven, structured businesses. On top of it all, he’s a real gentleman. We are very excited to work with him."
“I am incredibly excited to be joining UNIT9 who have such a deep and rich heritage in creativity and innovation and who I have admired for years," adds Singh. "The advertising landscape is shifting before our very eyes but UNIT9 is perfectly poised to deliver creative and impactful experiences with innovation at heart."
