This controversial short film, which casts Jesus as a potential organ donor, is sure to stir up strong emotions - but will hopefully get more Australians on the donor register as a result.
Written and directed by Richard Bullock through Revolver/Will O'Rourke, the two-and-a-half minute clip was created to promote a feature-length documentary, Dying to Live. It takes place at the scene of the crucifixion, and sees a pair of Roman centurions educating the son of God on the benefits of organ donation while he's hanging on the cross. There's even a cameo from Mary and Joseph to illustrate the importance of getting your family's consent to donation.
Controversy for controversy's sake? Perhaps - but it's certainly a good way to kickstart a very important conversation.
