With all the charm and whimsy you'd expect from a Gondry-esque gleeful take on romance, Las Vegas Love Stories is a series of six films created by Michel and Olivier Gondry in collaboration with creative agency Virtue and Partizan, for the launch of Sin City's new resort, Park MGM.
The concept springs from research claiming that average attention spans are contracting in the digital age and have now reached a record low of eight seconds, almost matching the 8.2 seconds scientists say it can take to fall in love.
Thus, ideal for today’s time-poor, meme-happy consumer, the films tell the stories of different couples over the course of one night in Vegas and have all the trappings of a Hollywood feature – full-length trailer, IMDB entry, posters and billboards on Sunset Boulevard – but each one lasts a mere 8.2 seconds.
The films in their entirety run for 30-seconds, but most of that time comprises titles and credits. In It Is Decidely So a couple on opposite escalators are faced with the romantic sight of a just-married couple, they lock eyes, experience that certain sparkle and embark on a giddy, imaginary rollercoaster ride of love. Sometimes a glance is all it takes...
It Is Decidely So...
In Room 802, an accidental nudge between friends waiting for a hotel lift after a Vegas night out results in sudden repositioning of their relationship...

In The Big Eight, a happy couple meet an enchanting croupier at the craps table and find that three's not a crowd...
The Big Eight
Night of the Scorpio sees bumper cars and sparks flying as an unstoppable force brings a couple into each other's arms.

No Ordinary August follows a couple literally falling in love, through the sky into a pool where synchronised swimmers enhance the joy of the lovers' watery wonderment.
