From watching the footie to weddings and wakes, the British pub is nothing short of an institution. But thanks to financial pressure, our beloved boozers are closing at a rate of three a day.
Step forward Britain's Beer Alliance - the organisation behind There's A Beer For That and funded by ABInBev, Carlsberg, Heineken, Molson Coors and The British Beer & Pub Association - which has launched a new campaign, Long Live the Local to highlight the issue and call for cuts to beer tax.
Created by Havas London and directed by Stink's Tom Green the spot appeals to British national identity by showing the important role that pubs play in communities across the country. Sweet but not sentimental, it'll make you want to down tools and head straight down the local for a pint with your mates.
