In the dsytopian piece, Barth questions whether our perception of intimacy will change as our use of digital increases.

We see a couple meet in the digital world to enjoy a moment of passion together, however it seems they are not alone. The man reassures the woman to relax into her first time and take what she will from the experience, although it ultimately feels like a poor alternative for face-to-face closeness.
