Onstar: Be Safe Out There

Campbell Ewald's new ad for Onstar shows how beautiful yet frightening a remote spot of nature can be.

In the film, directed by Lisa Gunning, the viewer is treated to picturesque views of a forest landscape, from a helicopter shot of trees from above, to close-ups of a dewy spiderweb and a babbling brook. Suddenly, the peace and quiet is disrupted by a car horn blaring  and it is revealed that a woman veered off the scenic road to avoid hitting a deer. 

The purpose of the film is to advertise Onstar's emergency vehicle services, which guarantee speedy aid during an emergency. The film makes it clear that although this secluded bit of the wilderness is stunningly beautiful, it is not a place where you want to be alone.
