Goodby Silverstein & Partners Launch Cheetos Vision at SXSW
Regardless of whether you're SXSW or not this year, there's plenty of lessons to learn from the conference... including this cutting edge Cheetos Vision app that transforms pics into Cheetos portraits.
As SXSW continues this week in Austin, many tech brands are launching new inventions and unveiling their latest work. Up there with them is Cheetos, who, through Goodby Silverstein & Partners' innovation lab, GS&P LABS, have created a new app, Cheetos Vision.
Cheetos Vision allows its users to transform their profile pictures into Cheetos-inspired images, changing pixels for Cheetos, using AI to recognise faces and overlap a fun Cheetos filter on top.

The app was unveiled at SXSW last week, filling a billboard in Austin with a portrait that's been given the Cheetos makeover (see top).
“The Cheetos brand is always on the cutting edge of playful fun, so it’s only natural we would leverage AI to help fans see the world through a Cheetos lens,” says Rachel Ferdinando, Vice President of marketing, Frito-Lay North America. “We’re excited to launch Cheetos Vision alongside so many other disruptive technologies at SXSW.”
The Cheetos lens is available on the app store, so don't delay downloading it - think of the fun you could have... regardless of whether you're at SXSW or not!
