War Child UK: Escape Robot

After the intensity of war, children can have a hard time settling into somewhere safe and reintegrating themselves into society.

However this spot for War Child UK, a charity that looks out for children affected by conflict, successfully demonstrates the displacement that children can feel. 

Created together with Raw London and directed by Thomas Martin, the spot sees a child compared to a robot. She shields herself away from the world as a way of protecting herself against the angst and memories encountered while on the ground. Luckily, her mother is able to break through the barrier she has put up.
