Greg Barth of Blinkink offers his surreal, glitchy take on millennials, fake news and social media in new short film.
In Epic Fail, a referendum (not one of those again...) on world peace is about to take place, and radio commentators are discussing how to engage millennials, who are otherwise occupied liking pictures of ice cream online and generally being apathetic, leading to catastrophe.
What sounds like a storyline straight out of 'Newspaper Columns for Dummies' becomes a unique film thanks to Barth's aesthetic, which brings together Betty Boop, Windows 95-era computer glitches, the work of artist Rachel Maclean and in-camera craft to create a bizarre parallel universe.
