Michel Gondry directs a new short film entirely on an iPhone for Apple.

In the film, which is named Détour and has been produced by Partizan for TBWA/Media Arts Lab, Gondry takes a little bit of Jacques Tati, a little bit of the classic (Palme d'Or-winning) The Red Balloon and a whole lot of his own signature surrealism to tell the story of a girl going on holiday who loses her tricycle, and the ordeals that tricycle faces to get back to her.

The campaign, a sister to Apple's ongoing Shot on iPhone OOH campaign, was shot entirely on an iPhone 7 Plus, including in-camera (should that be in-phone) tricks such as stop-motion and overlaid animation.
