The skies are grey over London and the rain clouds are gathering which can mean only one thing; Wimbledon. This new campaign from Y&R London features a maverick tennis ball as it bounces the length of Britain championing the delights of the word's premier tennis competition.
Mixing live action and 3D animation, the tennis ball bounces, spins and slices exactly like an Andy Murray forehand, and the action builds becoming more frenetic amid spectacular scenery.
“We wanted to create a trail for the BBC that is modern, dynamic and grabs attention for the biggest British sporting event this summer," says Jon Burley, CCO at Y&R. "Irreverent and full of character, our maverick tennis ball turns the nation onto Wimbledon from a very different perspective.”
