The story of why all players have to wear white at Wimbledon, told through footage of some of the all-time greats.
Much has changed since the early days of the tournament at the (then) All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Female players no longer play in floor-length crinolines, and the spectators for the final have gone from 200 in 1877 to 16,000 at Centre Court and a worldwide audience of millions on TV and online to name just two differences. One thing stays the same, however; all competitors must wear white, and a new content video directed by Lucas Zanotto of Friends Electric for McCann London explains why over photos of over a century of the competition's competitors put together to create a stop-motion effect.
