Singer Anderson .Paak goes back to his gospel roots in the latest spot advertising the 59th GRAMMY awards.
Singer Anderson .Paak goes back to his gospel roots in the latest spot advertising the 59th GRAMMY awards.
Part of the ongoing Believe in Music campaign, the ad was directed by Natalie Rae by Sanctuary Content for TBWA/Chiat/Day. Featuring Anderson .Paak, it features a gospel choir singing 'Come Down', a song from his GRAMMY-nominated album Malibu. Following this, it unveils Paak himself playing the drums, who actually began his career as a drummer for a gospel choir. Continuing this link to Paak's past, the cast features the singer's family and friends, including his sister and son.
The ad then shows what a press release called 'a congregation of church-goers who are overcome by the power of music'.
