Lucinda Ker, senior producer, adam&eveDDB London, is inspired by nostalgia. She looks back in awe at pioneering creative women of the past, loves the retro-futuristic lives of favourite cartoon characters, is moved by ads that invoke emotional memories and longs to have led the stars of disco. Yet she also desires to be up to date in all things art, music and film. While she likes to look into history, she definitely doesn’t want it to show on her face

What’s the most creative advertising idea you’ve seen this year?

Volkswagen Barry’s Golden Beetle. A great idea, to trace someone’s old car, beautifully and sensitively shot.

What’s your favourite website?

a-littlebird.com. It keeps me up to date with what’s going on.

What website do you use most regularly?

YouTube – for lots of research, and it just about covers most things I need to find out about.

Who’s your favourite photographer?

Lee Miller. I love the variety of her photos, and that she managed to make the most of a changing landscape and adapt.

What product could you not live without?

Anti-wrinkle cream. I’m trying to fight the ravages of time!

What product hasn’t been invented yet that would make your life/job better?

Jetson hover travel – I always used to watch The Jetsons, and the best thing about them was their flying cars. I still think it’s the coolest way to travel. Getting to work and into Soho would be such fun!

What track/artist do you listen to for inspiration?

Anything from Bill Withers to Bach. I have so many genres of music on my playlist, and my children add their favourites as well so I can switch from classical to 90s to Motown, and that’s how I like it.

What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?

La Famille Bélier: a very quirky, funny French film that portrays French rural life with a lot of humour and sensitivity. The parents are unusual and slightly anarchic as well, and the children deal with them in a non-conformist way.

What artistic show or exhibition have you seen that has most inspired you recently?

Georgia O’Keeffe [below]. An extraordinary woman/artist, who devoted her life to art, in an era when women didn’t usually pursue their passions with such single-mindedness.

Mac or PC?

Mac.

What fictitious character do you most relate to?

Jessica Rabbit. She has it all: brains, looks, allure, a great voice and she doesn’t come to a sticky end.

If you could live in one city, where would it be?

Venice. I went to Venice for the first time about four years ago, and of course I’d seen many pictures of it before, but nothing prepared me for the extraordinary experience of arriving in the city from the airport by boat. It completely blew my mind.

What’s your favourite magazine?

The Tate’s magazine, Tate Etc. It keeps me up to date with the art world.

Who’s your favourite designer?

I desire Yohji Yamamoto, but I can afford Cos.

If you could have been in any band, what band would you choose?

Earth, Wind & Fire. They didn’t have a female singer and they have the best dance music.
