As today marks the first of December, the countdown to Christmas has officially begun.

For Bare Films director Chris Goulder, that means unveiling Cadbury’s Cadvent – which this year sees the brand release 24 short films every day until Christmas Eve.

Christmas Lights (below) is the first in the Free the Joy series from Fallon.

The debut spot focusses on a bunch of kids in one UK neighbourhood who realise that their elderly neighbours are not able to put up the lights, so they decide to rally together instead and decorate the street.

 

 

Last year, Cadbury did a similar countdown stunt, assembling heavy duty lorries like an advent calendar and then sending them across the country to distribute chocolatey goodness to the public.

“With our advent calendars, Cadbury has been bringing joy to the Christmas countdown for over 50 years and now we can’t wait to see how our young advisors will go about the task,” says Mondelèz International’s marketing manager Steve Rich.
