A Day In The Life Of Sergio Gordilho
24 hours just aren't enough for the co-president and CCO of Brazilian creative agency, Africa.
Sergio Gordilho has two beautiful daughters, one baby boy, a dog, a gorgeous wife and, as co-president and CCO of Brazilian agency Africa, a great job. However, as he points out: "God does not give all of these for free so I have to make my day longer than 24 hours." Read on to see how he manages it.
05.30: Baby Francisco is in the room. I change his diaper, feed him milk, play with his toys and finally... zzzzzzz. It's my chance to run.
06.00: I like to run or cycle. I'm lucky to have a nice park just in front of my place. Those who live in Sao Paulo know what I am talking about.
08.00: I go walking to the office. Sao Paulo is not a walking city so you need to pay attention to the sidewalks. Sometimes I spot things on my way. You never know…
08.30: Checklist: emails, agenda, chats before people arrive.
11.00: Two-hour meeting. Worth it?
12.30: Salad time. Usually I have lunch at the office. Time to do my own work. I am an art director and designer. Never stop doing, always remember how you got there.
14.30: Still behind schedule. Creative group meeting.
17.00: Sprint to a presentation… show time (hey, stop taking pictures. There are compliance policies…)
20.30: My very best friend Waze taking me back home.
21.30: Trying to FaceTime with my daughter Valentina, who lives in Boston. But she never answers. Teenagers….
23.30: I love screens - I have so many, one in each room, so I never miss anything. Zzzzz...
