In this short and sweet spot, Toronto agency ds+p have created a snappy sequel to one of the most popular ads of all time.

Kog, made for Honda Canada and the Ontario Honda Dealers Association, is a misspelt, misaligned version of the ballet of beautiful car parts that was Honda’s Cog.

Here, things don’t go quite according to plan due to the inclusion of just one faulty, non-genuine Honda part messing up the mechanics. The action was all caught in camera. In spite of the short length of the Rube Goldberg machine and the fact that it was intended to fail, it still took more than 175 attempts to capture the action all in one continuous take.

Here's a reminder of the peerless original.
