All too often lingerie advertising falls prey to the usual tired and sexualised cliches, but this stylish new docu-short for fashion retailer Selfridges aims to show the reality of women's relationships with their undergarments.
Created and directed in-house by resident filmmaker Kathryn Ferguson as part of the everyBODY campaign promoting Selfridges' new lingerie, swim- and sportswear department, Incredible Machines features an eclectic line-up of women, including Rick Owens muse Michele Lamy, British Thai boxing champion Ruqsana Begum and trans activist Charlie Craggs. Acclaimed choreographer Wayne McGregor oversaw the movement choreography for the film.
