Christmas adverts are traditionally about spending time with loved ones and enjoying one another's company, while eating lots of food and mixing lots of drink.
WWF's latest ad - created by Globe Productions - may not fit the traditional Christmas ad structure, but it does borrow many of its themes, by encouraging us to think about future generations.
The stunning spot helmed by Anthony Dickenson brings the decline of wildlife populations to the forefront of the public's mind.
Using a montage of video and impressive images and set to a rendition of What The World Needs Now from Will Young, the spot is a beautiful reminder of our responsibility to protect the planet.
The campaign #WorldNeedsLove attempts to raise awareness of conservation issues by enocuraging the public to donate towards WWF and help preserve wildlife as we currently know it.
One of the most shocking facts revealed by the ad is that over 50 percent of wildlife populations have declined around the world since 1970.
As Globe account director Nina Mistry-Stevens concludes: "Will’s beautiful version of What the World Needs Now Is Love is moving in itself, but combined with the video it’s a real wake-up call." That it is.
