Great Scott! We are a mere 15 days away from the future. As far as legendary film Back to the Future Part II is concerned, anyway.
Yes, October 21 2015 is the date to which Michael J Fox's Marty McFly travelled, and to celebrate that fact, Pepsi are launching Pepsi Perfect, the (until now) fictional drink featured in the film.
When McFly went from 1985 to 2015 and ordered a Pepsi, what he got was a Pepsi Perfect and to commerorate the film's 30th anniversary the drinks company has launched a real-world version of the product.
However, dont' get too excited, the drink is no different from a normal Pepsi, it's just in a different bottle, the one featured in the 1989 film. Plus, the company is only making 6,500 bottles, one of which will set you back $20.15.
A selection of those bottles were given away at the recent New York ComiCon to people dressed as Marty, the rest will do go on sale on October 21, with details of how to buy one to be announced on Pepsi's social media channels.
Los Angeles-based agency Davie Brown Entertainment and production company Stun Creative has also created a future/retro-looking TV spot [top] to accompany the new drink's release.
In other Back to the Future Part II news, Universal has also released a spoof trailer for Jaws 19 [below], the film which is playing at a cinema when Marty visits the future.
