CFP-E/shots Young Director Award Winners 2015
This year's crop of YDA winners is revealed and, as ever, there is much to be admired...
Thursday evening in Cannes saw the 2015 CFP-E/shots Young Director Award take place, with the best young directorial talent in the industry rewarded at a special event on Long Beach, on the Croisette.

At a slightly more relaxed event than usual, Francois Chilot [above], president of the YDA, presented a selection of the winners with their trophies before the gathered crowd did what gathered crowds in Cannes do best.
The full list of winners can be found here, along with links to the work itself, but some of the highlights of the night include Frenzy Paris' Ernest Desumbila winning first prize in the European Broadcast category for his brilliant adidas spot, There Will Be Haters [above] and Steampunk Coke [below] from director Max Tsui through FH Dortmund FB Design.
As usual students from Germany's Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemberg fared well with a host of wins, including this great film from Djawid Hakimyar called Wet Dream [below] which took first prize in the Film School Europe category.
You can read more information about some of the winning directors from the YDA 2015 in the next issue of shots, issue 158, out at the end of July, plus the YDA 2015 DVD, with all of the winning work, will be distributed with that issue's accompanying DVD.
