powered byWith more than 700 people currently homeless on the streets of Madrid The Acción Humanitatis, a non-profit organisation focussed on aiding, guiding and working to help those sleeping rough, has launched Gimme Shelter to keep them warm through the winter months.
Placing a multifunctional jacket at the centre - which doubles as a refuge including a hood, a pair of gloves, a backpack, 10 pockets, a pillow, a mattress and a sleeping bag - Gimme Shelter will see one of the unique garments given to a homeless person every time one is purchased.
The jacket's designer, Matías Zanotti, is the man behind the Gimme Shelter incentive and wanted to create a piece of clothing with enough features and functions to support those living on the streets. Th campaign has been rolled out by agency Tapsa/Y&R Madrid.
The campaign is being supported by a host of famous Spanish faces, including musicians Leiva and Javier Álvarez, and actress Macarena García.
