Harv Bains is creative director at Brothers and Sisters, the agency behind campaigns for Sky Sports, Gran Turismo and Resident Evil.
Below, he talks us through some of his favourite things and offers opinion on the ad industry.
What’s the best ad campaign you’ve seen recently?
Thomson, A film about a smile.
What website(s) do you use most regularly and why?
Buzzfeed to keep up with what’s going down.
What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought and why?
Fender Blues Juniour III guitar amp, so that I can annoy the neighbours.
What’s your favourite app on your phone and why?
Google Maps. It answers a hell of a lot of questions in my head.
What’s your favourite TV show and why?
If we’re talking current, it has to be Game Of Thrones and everyone probably already knows “why?”
What film do you think everyone should have seen?
Not sure I can pin it down to one. But I’d like to believe everyone has seen Goodfellas.
Where were you when inspiration last struck?
In the agency.
What’s the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the industry since you started working in it?
Even more lack of time.
If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?
Bring in more people who are actually passionate about advertising and those who know what’s been done before.
What or who has most influenced your career and why?
Epiphanies.
Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…
I think I’m a little psychic.
