This new film from Sweetgrass Productions and agency Ahlstrand & Wallgren is an epic and mesmerising undertaking which sees four skiers - Eric Hjorliefson, Chris Benchetler, Pep Fujas and Daron Rahlves - take to a selection of mountains to help create an awe-inspiring film for Philips Ambilight TVs called Afterglow.

Shot with a crew of 14 people over the course of six weeks, the film - which shows the skiers make amazing leaps and runs, at night, covered in LED lightsm - involved deep collaboration among all the production elements as Sweetgrass' most logistically challenging projec to date. A project which involved over 9,000lbs of equipment being shuttled to a variety of locations - including Alaska and British Columbia - planes, trains, cars, helicopters and, in their words, "gallons of blood, sweat and tears".

The film was shot at night, with temperatures sometimes dropping to -15 Celcius, and meant the teams had to develop specific cameras and rigs to withstand the harsh conditions.

Above is a four-minute cut of the film, called the Light Suit Segment and set to a track called My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit, but there is also an 11-minute version of Afterglow, which can be seen here.
