At the beginning of last month The Times and The Sunday Times released the first in a series of films which celebrated the cultural imapact of the two internationally renowned newspapers and today, two more of the films have been released.

Created by Grey London, Betsy Works and director and creative, Phil Lind, each of the films - as a group called The Unquiet Film Series - explore the world of journalism and facets of The Times/Sunday Times in various ways.

The first of the most recent films to the series is Cultural Impact [top] and is directed by Rob Blishen through RSA. The film uses archive material, audio interviews, graphics and 3D animation to explore the influence the newspapers have had on popular culture and how they, at times, resonate beyond the story.

From Billy Russell redefining war journalism in 1854 and inspiring Tennyson’s famous poem Charge Of The Light Brigade, to ex-editor William Rees-Mogg’s written words helping to free rock icons The Rolling Stones, criticising their jail sentence for possession of drugs in 1967, the film explains the power of Times' journalists' prose.

The second of the new films is Bringing the World to Britain [below], directed by Liz Unna, and documents the story of foreign affairs correspondent Christina Lamb [pictured above] and specifically her time spent covering the war in Afghanistan and how she acts as a bridge between worlds.
