Thoel is new kid at the Sweet Shop

Global Production company The Sweet Shop has hired Laura Thoel as its new managing director. Having spent more than eight years previously at Smuggler, Thoel has executive produced for directors Henry Alex Rubin, Jon Watts, Brian Beletic, Guy Shelmerdine, Filip Engstrom, Jun Diaz, Renny Maslow and The Sniper Twins. As well as strengthening The Sweet Shop’s management team, Thoel will help nurture emerging directors and young production staff and will manage marketing and production for sister digital company, The Rumpus Room.
