Mark Tutssel, deputy chief creative officer of Leo Burnett US, has been promoted to a global role, as deputy chief creative officer of Leo Burnett Worldwide. Tutssel has been with the Leo Burnett Group for 19 years, and has been in his current role since 2001 after he moved from the agency's London office. It is not known who will replace him in New York.
Black Dog Films in London has signed young director Huse Monfaradi. Monfaradi was included as a new director in shots #80 with his mockumentary-style test ad for Nike, which features a woodsman hunting a runner adorned in Nike gear.
Also included on shots (#77) with an ad for Nike is director Timothy Kendall, who has recently signed to the roster at HKM in the US. Kendall has recently gained acclaim for his witty spots for Red Tail Ale, directed through Effigy Productions in LA.
UK editor Nick Lofting has joined Union Editorial in Santa Monica. Lofting, who joins the company from Chrome in Santa Monica, has cut spots for directors including Happy, ACNE and Douglas Avery, and also worked on the opening credits for feature Dawn of the Dead last year.
JWT in New York has announced that Carol Potter will take on the post of global business director on the agency's Unilever account. Potter, currently global business director for the Diamond Trading Company at JWT, will take over the account from Tim Davis over the course of 2005, as Davis leaves his full-time position to pursue other interests at the end of 2005.
Global Production Network in Los Angeles has signed Blue Sky Productions Croatia for exclusive US representation. Blue Sky is run by exec producers Sabrina Allaria and Mario Svan.
