RAF leaves HSI/Exposure; new signings at Czar, Rogue, Stun Creative; and more...
HSI/Exposure Films have parted company with Renck Akerlund Films (RAF), the business name for directors Jonas Akerlund and Johan Renck, who work independently as directors but collaboratively as a business. HSI/Exposure have repped the company for the last six years, and it is uncertain where RAF will next land at the time of going to press.
Curious Pictures in New York has teamed up with production company Grand Large in Paris, and will represent its directors in the US. Grand Large's roster includes Jean-Pierre Jeunet, director of Amelie and new release A Very Long Engagement.
New York-based directing team Honest, aka Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion, has signed to Czar for commercial and music video representation in the US, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Honest has directed for brands including MTV and Nike, and contributed to Diesel's recent Dream Maker campaign.
Rogue in London has signed director Kalle Hellzen to its roster for commercials and promos representation. Swedish-born Hellzen comes to directing from the creative side of the industry, having worked as a creative at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam since 2002, where he wrote campaigns for Heineken, Powerade and Vodafone.
Bicoastal US company Stun Creative has signed creative director/director Chris Mckenna to its New York office. Mckenna joins from TLC, where he was a senior on-air creative.
Leo Burnett in Chicago has hired Tor Myhren as executive vice-president/executive creative director overseeing the General Motors business for the agency. Myhren joins Leo Burnett from TBWA/Chiat/Day in Los Angeles, where he was creative director for Infiniti.
Modernista! in Boston has hired Philip Bonnery as senior art director and Alex Flint as senior copywriter. Bonnery joins from BBH in New York, where he was a freelancer, while Flint was formerly at Spike DDB.
