Production company A Band Apart in Los Angeles has signed directors Per Dreyer and Brendan Donovan for exclusive US commercial representation. Dreyer rose to fame in the US recently for his spot Child's Play, which won MoveOn.org's Bush in 30 Seconds competition. Donovan, a former creative with Cliff Freeman and Partners and creative director with Kirshenbaum & Bond, is known mainly for his work shot in his native New Zealand, including spots for Kiwi Bacon (shots #77).
The Sweet Shop in New Zealand has signed director Kezia Barnett for commercial representation. Barnett has gained acclaim for her music videos and short film, and has recently completed an ad through The Sweet Shop for Brandhouse Arnold Worldwide which will air shortly in Australia. The Sweet Shop's directors are repped by Partizan in the UK.
John Norman, creative director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, is set to join Al Moseley at Wieden + Kennedy in Amsterdam as executive creative director. Both Moseley and Norman will begin working at the agency in early January.
Creative agency Attik in San Francisco has hired copywriter Ariel Lustig. Lustig joins the agency from Mad Dogs & Englishmen in San Francisco.
Publicis Groupe president and CEO Roger Haupt is standing down from his duties at the agency. Haupt will remain as chairman of Publicis Groupe Media and will act as consultant to chairman and chief executive Maurice Levy.
Saatchi & Saatchi New York has appointed Rob Moorman as chief marketing officer. He joins the agency from advertising consultancy Rojek Consulting Group.
New York-based music house tonefarmer has hired Joseph Spallina as staff composer/sound designer. Spallina worked at the company on a freelance basis for six months prior to the announcement. Other tonefarmer news is that Siobhan McCafferty will handle West Coast representation for the company, while Barrie Isaacson will be East Coast rep.
