Two young farmers take on mother nature herself in this epic cinematic spot for the new Nissan Frontier.
Created by LewLara/TBWA, the spot introduces the audience to a small town locked in the clutches of a drought. Seeing an opportunity to end this, two farmers saddle up their pickup truck and head off to capture a rain cloud - in a scene reminiscent of Jack and the Beanstalk.
The commercial was shot an 18-house village in a remote part of north-eastern Brazil, where it hadn’t rained for 6 years. In a miraculous life-imitating-art turn of events, once the rain scenes had finished being shot, the real clouds opened - ending the towns drought, for real.
Rodrigo Saavedra directed the spot through Landia.
