powered byFor our latest interview in our YDA 2020 Gold winners series Daniel Huntley caught up with Los York director Jackson Tisi whose documentary Leon [below] picked up a Gold in the Passion Project - Northern America category.
The documentary Leon, is a moving piece about Leon Ford, a survivor of police brutality who is now an activist, writer, entrepreneur and change-maker. The work is shot with great skill and Tisi artfully captures the fragile side of a man who has had to endure more than most.
Previously featured in our Scout database back in 2018, we caught up with Jackson to discover how this passion project came about, how the shoot went and his big plans for the future.
