Wilfrid Park Signs West, Orisich and Mieke for Canadian Market

Wilfrid Park, the Toronto-based production company, has added three new directors to its roster of talent. The company has signed Directors Simon West and Ben Orisich, as well as Director-Cameraman Michael Mieke, for Canadian Representation. The announcement was made by Wilfrid Park Executive Producer Angie Colgoni.
Known for directing the features "Con Air," "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and "The General's Daughter," West currently resides in Los Angeles. He began his career directing award-winning commercials, including such well-known icons as Budweiser "Frogs," Budweiser "Ants" and Pepsi’s "Boy in a Bottle." Originally from Britain, West spent his formative years at the BBC as a film editor.

Orisich, who’s based in New York, spent the first 15 years of his career as an award-winning designer and Flame artist. His post production background has been a tremendous asset to every client he has worked with to date, says Colgoni. Perhaps best known for his IZOD campaign, which included the spot “In The Snow,” one of two spots in the campaign that aired during the 2007 Super Bowl, Orisich is adept at blending visual effects and graphic design into his work. The success of his work for IZOD, as well as his moving PSA for the Save Ellis Island Trust, earned him inclusion in SHOOT Magazine's 5th Annual New Directors Showcase.
Director/Cameraman Michael Mieke, who resides in Berlin, began his career as a feature film cinematographer in Germany, and soon thereafter became an international A-list DP in the automotive world. He has since transitioned his talents as a director/cameraman and has worked on numerous automotive world class commercials such as Kia, Nissan, BMW, VW and Mazda.
All three are represented in the US via Original Film.
