It’s enough of a challenge starting a new life in a new neighbourhood, but so much worse when you’re starting at a new school where no one knows you.

This campaign, created by Grey/London and directed by James Rouse through Biscuit Filmworks, has perfectly captured that sense of first-day-at-big-school dread and loneliness with heart-rending accuracy.

Overwhelmed by it all, the young hero of True Connections seeks ‘friendship’ on the internet - only to be blocked by Secure Net, Vodafone’s online protection tool. Frustrating! Just as well something far nicer is about to happen…
