Vaughan Arnell likes Aldi like that
Following on from his fun and wacky spot for the major supermarket brand last Easter, Arnell has crafted another hunger-inducing, puppet propelled film with a little help from some of Team GB’s finest.
Vaughan Arnell’s latest work for Aldi is now live, following on from his immensely fun and wacky spot for the major supermarket brand last Easter.
Reconnecting with McCann Manchester and Freefolk, Arnell has crafted another hunger-inducing, puppet propelled film with a little help from some of Team GB’s finest, Olympic gymnast and gold medalist Max Whitlock as well as snowboarder Katie Ormrod.
Whilst the mariachi band returns, this film ushering in the new year, brings together our fridge dwelling athletes, synchronised swimmers and nodding chickens, all in perfect unison.

With such an exciting career and body of work to his name already, this marks something slightly different for Arnell and he loved every second of it.
Arnell says: "I love working with McCann Manchester and Dave and the rest of his brilliant team. It was great to be able to work on the two films: one from its inception, and one from its development. The first I Like It Like That from the Easter campaign into this January brief, that is sharper, crisper, and a healthier-looking film. Freefolk did an outstanding job bringing a fresh design to the visuals. I also loved working with the puppet company Talk To The Hand who brought the non chicken chickens to life. It was a bit like working on a music video with a band, you can really develop a personality / character as the brief alters with the seasons. The best way to end the year!"
Arnell is starting the year as he finished the last one: busy. He is currently in pre-production on another project that is due to shoot mid January.
