Trim Editing announce that Zaldy Lopez has signed on to the editorial house’s roster of editorial talent.

Known for building collaborative, trusting relationships with the directors he works with, Lopez brings his stellar reputation and standout talent to the award-winning edit house.

Lopez has been making films since his father brought home a Panasonic MiniDV camcorder in the seventh grade, later finding a home in editing. With over a decade of experience cutting commercials, comedy, and music videos, his edits are dynamic yet grounded. Lopez scores his cuts with emotional honesty and unexpected pacing, creating films with a heart and life of their own.

He is a recurring collaborator of directors David Helman, Warren Fu, John Hillcoat, and AG Rojas, frequently joining them for musical projects that break the rules of continuity and logic, allowing Lopez to shape the stories for artists like American Football, Bonobo, Charlie Puth, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Dua Lipa, Kamasi Washington, Khalid, The Kid LAROI, Run the Jewels, Zayn, and Zedd & Kehlani.

Lopez’s work with Spencer Creigh on the Merck Reversal PSA won him a Gold Clio for editing. His other commercial projects include Uber Eats x NFL, Mountain Dew, Comcast, AT&T, Samsung, Netflix, Blue Shield, and the ADC Award-winning Suerte campaign for Apple, directed by Cliqua.

“I've been a fan of Trim from afar for a while,” remarks Lopez on signing. “When music videos I worked on started getting into festivals, I kept noticing the same post house pop up and always thought their work was hella sick. When they expanded to the West Coast, and my friend Michael Miller came on as EP, it felt like the right time. I'm excited to be part of their roster and add to what they've built.”

Trim Editing’s Managing Partner and Executive Producer, Michael Miller, adds, “Zaldy and I have been good friends for years. We've really grown in this industry together. He's always had that special something when it comes to editing... really great taste, incredible timing, can think outside the box, and he's just a blast to be around. We’re excited to have him with us at Trim.”
