Tina Bull, AKA Tiny Bullet is a multi-award winning director, designer, artist and photographer.

The daughter of legendary Cockney signwriter Terry Bull and a born storyteller, She has a knack for taking a script and making it sing. She brings a playful, inventive eye to every project, building vibrant worlds, finding unexpected ways into the story and coaxing beautifully grounded performances from her cast. For Tiny Bullet, it’s never style for the sake of it, she has an instinct for knowing exactly what a script needs to flourish.

Over the years, Tiny Bullet’s work has made a splash culturally as well as creatively, often sparking conversations along the way. Her playfully rebellious film #Adpology took aim at the stereotypes in women’s advertising, while her Lovehoney campaign gleefully provoked ‘polite’ society with its gloriously irreverent tone, earning the title of “the most outrageous advert to ever air on British TV”.

Tiny Bullet has directed campaigns for high profile brands whether she’s directing an anxious badger fretting over gas pipes, Queen Boudica trying to navigate modern life with her accountant, or unleashing an army of sumo wrestlers onto the streets of Sydney, Tiny Bullet brings the same mix of curiosity, confidence and creativity to every job. Tiny Bullet has just finished shooting a series of idents for Traitors Ireland, due to be aired soon.

Tiny Bullet says: “From the moment I started talking to Shiv and Spencer, there was an immediate spark. We share the same appetite for beautifully crafted work and pushing ideas into unexpected places. Merman has a close-knit production team who genuinely care about developing their directors and helping them grow across a broad and constantly evolving creative space. It feels like exactly where I belong, and I can’t wait to see what strange and wonderful things we create together.“

Siobhan Murphy / Spencer Dodd said: “We’ve admired Tiny Bullet’s irrepressibly inventive style for some time and finally had the good fortune to meet her in person and she certainly didn’t disappoint! We’re absolutely thrilled to make it official and welcome Tina to the Merman family. Her casting is always distinctive and she has a real gift for bringing out the very best in her actors, a quality that feels perfectly aligned with Merman. And, in all honesty, she fills a very big Tiny Bullet-shaped hole on the roster!”
