Agency TBWA\Chiat\Day, have named Lea Mastroberti US CEO to lead its next phase of growth, building on strong creative and new business momentum while connecting its talent and capabilities across the US more closely around client needs.

A proven leader with a track record of building agencies and driving growth, Mastroberti most recently launched and led LePub New York from the ground up. Her more than two decades of agency leadership include roles at Droga5, Accenture Song, Grey New York, McCann and 360i.

The appointment comes as briefs become more complex and clients want deeper specialist expertise, greater agility and senior leaders who stay close to their business. As US CEO,

Mastroberti will partner closely with the global TBWA\Worldwide team, while strengthening capabilities in social-first content, design and complex B2B marketing.

The move builds on strong creative and business momentum, with Chiat and the TBWA Collective continuing to deliver culture-denting creativity. This includes earning half of this year’s Emmy nominations for Outstanding Commercial, a top three network ranking at Cannes Lions, where Columbia Sportswear Expedition Impossible was the festival’s most-awarded campaign, and TBWA\Media Arts Lab being named Craft Agency of The Year. In the US, Chiat has recently added new business across fashion, retail, CPG and finance, including two wins in the past month alone.

“With Disruption as our guiding philosophy, we have long rejected conventional ways of working and focused instead on rallying the best talent to solve our clients’ challenges. Uniting our offices under one CEO will only further strengthen our ability to deliver on that approach. I cannot wait to partner with Lea to further accelerate our momentum. She brings all the creative ambition, rigor and humanity that is quintessential Chiat.” said Erin Riley, Global CEO, TBWA\Worldwide.

“What drew me to TBWA\Chiat\Day is its rare combination of a rich creative legacy and a clear commitment to Disruption. I’ve spent my career embracing change, and I’m excited to build on what has always made the agency special while helping shape what it needs to become next.” said Mastroberti.

Mastroberti will officially join TBWA\Chiat\Day as U.S. CEO on October 19, reporting to Riley, and will be based in New York.
