Up and coming new director Tansy Taylor has joined Rattling Stuff for commercial representation.
Despite being just 23 years old, Taylor has directed and produced over 30 music videos, all on shoestring budgets, all ideas devised and developed by her.
The high production value and clout her films receive have earned Taylor a well-respected reputation in the urban music scene. Her film for Mak Check attracted 21k views on YouTube while its teaser film received over 600k views in one day on Twitter while her music video for Bawo ft. Danny Sanchez Brasileiro has more than 170k views.
Her most recent films; the impressive one-shot music video for Siah's A.Y.N. and the La Haine inspired visual film for JXMESC Scars are a world away from the grimy aesthetic typical of underground promos. As well as the glossy creative vision favoured by her rapper clients, Taylor also loves shooting on 16mm film, which she used for the grittier sounds of more alternative artists, like her promos for Apollo on the Run or Falling Asleep by Cartier.
Her infallible sense of style is about taking creative risks, challenging boundaries and defying stereotypes by showcasing young and diverse talent. Taylor says: “Since getting my Law degree and taking a chance on myself, I have been learning from the best and chasing my dreams. Rattling Stuff is a great fit and I cannot wait to get stuck in!”
Taylor’s creative journey began at post-production house MPC, where she set about absorbing invaluable inside knowledge of VFX. This led to her working at Rattling Stick gaining incomparable contacts and experience working with some of the advertising industry’s biggest names. Moving quickly through the ranks from on-set running for Danny Kleinman, PA’ing for Andy McLeod and production managing on the smaller budget content projects.
“Don’t let that fresh face fool you…” says Cabell Hopkins, Head of Rattling Stuff. “Tansy is a force of nature. She has been an asset to have around, and now on the Stuff roster, is definitely on the cusp of greatness. She has an acute creative vision and resourcefulness that I look forward to seeing thrive in this brand new age of advertising.”
So, if you're looking for a creative mind who can turn your project into something truly spectacular Tansy Taylor is your girl.
