Stink signs Bruno Beserra
Stink has signed local the director, Bruno Beserra, to its Brazilian roster.
Stink has signed local director, Bruno Beserra, to its Brazilian roster and launched a fashion film created in collaboration with label, Quadro Creations, and Brazilian-Japanese artist Pedro Mizutani.
Beserra brings a documentary instinct to advertising, finding human truth in real behaviour and understated performance. His work often centres on non-actors, whose natural presence gives each film its emotional weight.
Beserra developed his craft from within Stink, working alongside some of the company’s most established directors and contributing to major productions. The experience helped shape an approach grounded in close observation, spontaneity and a sensitivity to what unfolds naturally in front of the camera. He has since directed films for brands including Google, Schweppes and Mondelēz.
“Bruno has a sharp eye for what is genuinely happening in front of the camera. He knows how to make people feel at ease, whether he is working with actors or non-actors, and that spontaneity comes through in his films” says Ian Ruschel, Director and Partner, Stink Brazil.
“The scenes I like best come from the moments people forget the camera is there. It takes patience, and Stink has always given me the room to wait for it. I’m thrilled about the signing because it means I can keep working that way, now on a larger scale” adds Beserra.
Beserra’s new fashion film, Cartel Phoebus, marks a new stage in his relationship with Stink and reflects the kind of work he wants to pursue: visually considered filmmaking that remains connected to real people and authentic moments.
