The director and celebrity photographer, whose Jennifer Aniston 'sex tape' viral was a big hit for SmartWater, signs for U.S. representation.
Celeb Director Alek Keshishian now at Station Film
Station Film has signed "Truth or Dare" Director Alek Keshishian for US representation. Keshishian's recent work includes a much-watched web video for SmartWater. Starring Jennifer Anniston, "Jennifer Aniston's Sex Tape" has received over 15 million views, making it one of 2011's most viewed viral ads.
Keshishian has enjoyed a successful career in commercials and photography since releasing "Truth or Dare," a film that chronicled Madonna and her dancing posse on the Blonde Ambition tour. Many connect the film to the advent of reality-based programming and the ensuing popularity of celebrities opening up their private lives to the camera.
After a string of Hollywood movies, Keshishian moved to London to pursue photography and commercial work with celebrities that included Natalie Portman, Heather Graham, Darryl Hannah, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jean Reno, working for clients such as Coca-Cola, VW, Bailey's and Peugeot.

Of late, Keshishian has been busy working stateside on a campaign for RoC for DDB, New York, as well as the SmartWater viral, which was produced at Looking Glass, and spots for Tod's.
"I love that Station Film is about ideas, content within the commercial rather than just style for style's sake" says Keshishian. "Even though one can look at my work cosmetically, I'm most proud of the content and energy within it. Audiences today have a deeper appreciation for authenticity. Great advertising begins with an idea, and I know Station Film is of the same mindset."
Says Station Partner/EP Michael Di Girolamo, "Honesty is an integral part of advertising, especially when celebrities are part of the equation. There's a candid sincerity to the work. I feel the lexicon of documentary filmmaking – especially Alek's cinema verite energy – has huge appeal in the advertising world."
